I’ve got SUCH a super special Hackney Town Hall wedding to share with you all this evening, which kicked off my wedding season in style!
When I met Hannah & Tom for their engagement shoot I knew they were just a little bit awesome. They were both super stylish and Hannah is a wedding cake designer so I had high hopes for their big day and they did not disappoint.
On the morning of the wedding Hannah & her bridesmaids got ready in a super cool house in Hackney, you will probably notice that I was a bit in love with the details of the place. When she got into her stunning Anna Sorrano dress she looked like a total knockout and the most incredible bouquet by Boom Blooms was the icing on the cake. Tom got ready with his boys in the couple’s flat and after some alleyway antics they headed to Hackney Town Hall.
Hannah had mentioned to me that there was going to be a ‘copper tree arch’ in the ceremony room but I didn’t know quite what to expect. All I can say is wow, it perfectly set the tone for the rest for the rest of the day – modern, urban and beautifully floral! There ceremony was really personal and special and the guests couldn’t take their eyes off the gorgeous couple saying their vows. The rest of the day consisted of fizz, yummy food, amazing table settings complete with origami favours and perspex signage, wonderful heart felt speeches and a whole lotta cocktails. And I have to mention the cake! I knew it was going to be pretty special what with Hannah designing and making it herself but holy moly it was beyond unique, I have never seen such a beautiful ‘concrete’ cake before. She really is such a talented gal and I can’t wait to see more of her creations in the future. The partying started with DJ sets for the epic DJ Snooze and the guests were dancing hard by the time I headed home.
During the day I met some brilliant new ‘friendors’ (that’s friend/vendors), This Modern Revelry who did the videography, Iman from Boom Blooms who made the whole place look gorgeous and the bride Hannah herself who I got to know so well in the run up to the day. Really lovely to meet these incredibly talented people and I hope to work with them again soon.
